Your decisions always shape your life they can either build it or break it. But when it comes to making decisions, we often make mistakes, or we avoid deciding because of fear. Instead, we pass that responsibility to someone else—parents, siblings, a partner, or anyone close to us. We think, “I can’t decide, so they will choose what’s right for me.” But does that really always work? Sometimes our thinking is right, and we turn out to be correct. Other times, our family or loved ones tell us we are wrong, and we get upset with them. We stick strongly to our own decision, but sometimes they are actually right. On the other hand, there are times when trusting others leads us in the right direction—and times when that same trust leads us the wrong way.
